LEGENDS OF AIRPOWER SIGNS ADDITONAL UNDERWRITER FOR NEW SEASON
National Aviation Hall of Fame Joins Aerospace Education Foundation for New Season of Public TV Show

The National Aviation Hall of Fame, located in Dayton, Ohio, has joined the Aerospace Education Foundation as an underwriter of the public TV series LEGENDS OF AIRPOWER.

LEGENDS OF AIRPOWER is a series of thirty-minute biographies that relate the life and times of the greats of military aviation. The series launched on public television in September 2000, and has already been seen more than 2600 times on 150 public television stations around the U.S, including at leas one broadcast in each of the top ten markets. It is also carried on the Speedvision cable network and around the world on Armed Forces TV.

The second series of LEGENDS will begin distribution to public TV on October 7, 2001. This new season will focus on thirteen new LEGENDS including John McCain, Charles Lindbergh, Buzz Aldrin, Jacqueline Cochran, and the Wright Brothers. Each LEGEND is profiled in a separate, thirty-minute biographical program that traces their life and times.

We are thrilled to count two the premier aviation-related educational institutions as underwriters of the series, said Russ Hodge, Executive Producer of LEGENDS OF AIRPOWER. There are a number of educational synergies that can be attained through these relationships, and were proud that the success and quality of the series has attracted such notable underwriters.

LEGENDS OF AIRPOWER fits perfectly with our efforts to educate the public about the heroic individuals who have made American air power and aviation the best in the world, said Mike Jackson, Executive Director of the National Aviation Hall of Fame. The incredible number of broadcasts of the series and its high visibility with the public and the aviation community fits perfectly with our mission of education.

The National Aviation Hall of Fame is dedicated to promoting and preserving the legacies of the men and women who tested the limits of aerospace technology and the human spirit.
