Kelly Johnson
Joining Lockheed as a tool designer, Kelly Johnson became one of
America's foremost aircraft designers. He developed more than 40 aircraft,
from the U-2 to the F-104, and was the head of Lockheed's advanced development
projects, known as the "Skunk Works." When he retired in 1975, this tool
designer had become Lockheed's Senior Vice President.
